Wii Sports was full of tips and tricks, but these are the only ones we have been able to rustle up for Wii play:
…
Alternate Laser Hockey Paddles
If you press A and B together before the game timer starts in Laser Hockey you will switch to an alternate paddle.
Medals Section:
This is how to unlock Platinum medals.
This content is under fire, as several users have reported different scores to get a Platinum, so until we get the real data compiled, we will leave it up in the air.
Thanks to Peej:
During the one player shooting range if the b or a button is pressed on the second controller another cursor will pop up and when that second player shoots it will count towards the one player score. The most I got was 623.
Thanks to sean:
Platinum in tanks is 30 missions with 125 kills, after you beat 20 missions with 84 kills then play again.
If you have any more, feel free to send em in, or comment here!

1I think the bit about Table Tennis is B.S. When you return the ball 100 times the computer opponent misses. How can you get to 200?

2Nope. You can actually get to 200. I’ve done it. After you get 100 points, the game slows down and then slowly speeds up again. Takes a bit of practice but it’s definitely possible.

52500 is not the platinum for fishing. I got 2530 and didn’t get it. Maybe 2600?

7I got 324 on Charge and that’s still not Platinum.
And I have 1178 on Pose Mii and that’s not Platinum either.
On Fishing, 2010 is still Silver… what’s it take to get Gold?

9I didn’t copy anything, those were sent in by users, but many of them were incorrect, so I removed them until we get the correct data
Thanks The Amigo!

10I got 2870 in fishing and that was a platinum medal. Got 2600 again and that wasn’t platinum so I think anything over 2800 will.

13Hi,
You need at least 2800 to get a platinum medal. Does anyone know why the touchy fish get buzz around with exclamation marks, is there some special catch to them?

16I got 2620 in fishing and got the plat. Also, you should be able to get plat in shooting range no problem, I have a have of 655 with no use of a second controller - it’s all in getting the ducks and not missing your shots.
One guy said he couldn’t get 200 in ping pong. It’s the same as the tanks…once you beat it, play it again, you’ll now be able to go past where you were.
I’ll never get platinum in laser hockey - 16 is freaking nuts.

17Just found out about possibility of level 20+ on tanks. Great, I’d assumed I’d finished it! Likewise Table Tennis. Got platinums on everything else.
My top score on Charge is 331, and I’m pretty sure that is the highest possible score. Tip: At the start, don’t tip the remote forward until the exact moment you get the go signal, and you’ll get an extra boost off the line. My top on shooting is 701. You have to be very careful not to make any misses, so that you score big bonuses for consecutive hits.

18I don’t know if any of you have found this yet, but on the shooting range at level one with the balloons, if you hit the same color balloon more than once in a row, each consecutive balloon of the same color is worth 2 pts instead of 1 pt. so if you plan carefully the order you shoot you can get more points.

20The info Peej posted about Shooting Range is correct…you can use both controllers on a one player game. The cool part is that if you use P2 to shoot your Mii’s, you GET three points instead of losing three. It’s tricky to keep one controller off the faces and one controller on them, but worth it’s lots points. My high score so far is 865!

21I’m not sure about a lot of the numbers but here are my scores and medals to hopefully help you out a bit.
Shooting Range: 613 points (Platinum)
Find Me: 78 levels (Gold)
Table Tennis: 154 times (Gold)
Pose Mii: 884 points (Gold)
Laser Hockey: 12 points (Gold)
Billiards: 57 points (Gold)
Fishing: 2400 points (Gold)
Charge!: 316 points (Gold)
Tanks!: 37 tanks (Silver)
Someone asked about the Touchy Fish with the exlimation points behind them and then they swim away really fast on fishing. The reason is when your pole goes behind them, they swim away - try to keep the pole by their mouths.
I found out a lot of tips for Wii Play and all the other games on the Wii Menu. On the bottom right side you should see an envelope with a number at the bottom, that tells you how many messages you have for that day. It shows you what new scores, medals, progress, ect on there. It comes in handy!

24I have Platinum in 5 of the 9 games and my brother has it in Billiards (which I don’t).
The Shooting Range is to beat a score of 600 - Obtained
Find Mii, I’ve heard, is to beat Level 80 - Not Completed
Table-tennis I have and is to get more than 200 - Obtained
Pose Mii is to beat a score of 1,000 - Obtained
Laser Hockey, I’ve heard, is to get 16 goals and win - Not Completed
Billiards is to get 60 points (7 shots or less with no fouls) - Not Completed
Fishing is to beat a score of 2,500 - Obtained
Charge! is to beat a score of 325 (I got 324 and 328) - Obtained
Tanks!, I’ve heard, is to beat 30 Missions (which is 125) - Not Completed
Hope that helps - I’ll be going for Tanks today.

25I got a platinum in Laser Hockey with 14 and in Fishing, you need 2600 or above. I’ve done that many times using different Miis. I’ve only gotten one platinum in billiards so far: 60 points, no fouls.
Tanks is my worst. I don’t even have a gold yet!
