To anyone in the HMW audience that is modded:
DO NOT UPDATE, or risk COMPLETELY bricking your console. Its not worth it for a few menu fixes like a new digital clock on the main menu, a few “aesthetic changes to the Wii Shop,” an updated Forecast Channel window, and a “Today’s Accomplishments” note on the message board. If you do not read this in time and are modded, hopefully you see the following message when you (don’t) update: “If your Wii console has an unauthorized technical modification, this upgrade could cause interoperability of your console.”

3Ok, apparently I updated once too much… (I have a Jap. console and dont understand the characters in the menu)
After updating, you can still play games, but not access internet or access the system options menu! This sucks, because i just bought a new tv and need to alter the tv aspect ratio settings for widescreen…
Nintendo, you bastards!
